It runs from the 8th to the 21st of March. The 8th, 9th and 10th are for qualifying rounds with the main event starting on the 10th for the WTA and the 11th for the ATP 1000 event.

The qualifying rounds won’t be covered well ( if at all) by Betfair so we have a couple of days free from tennis.

Its a good opportunity to review your strategies. If you are a new member of TradeShark tennis then take the time to go over the material on the members sites so you are familiar with the strategies and the terms used.  There are also videos to watch which explain the strategies and show them in use.

If you’re looking for another market to trade then the football guys will no doubt have something for us either on the forum or in the chatroom ( or both). A good time to catch them is actually during the matches where at times Football and Tennis chats are combined.

Rankings are 16 and 19. Head to heads are 4-2 to Ferrer.

Ferrer is in great form especially on clay, his favourite surface.

Wawrinka is also having a good season reaching one final and a quarter final. He prefers hard courts though and is a definate underdog today.

Ferrer’s consistency will wear his opponent down and I’d expect a win for him in 3 or 4 sets.

Either back Ferrer from the start or use scalping/15-40.

15:00 – Johannson v Schwank – (On a hard court)

Rankings are 170 and 64. They haven’t met before.

Johannson proved he still has a great serve in his last match but Mayer was just too strong.

Schwank is happier on clay courts and may struggle to handle a big serve.

Backing Johannson on serve is definately a good option but you may want to see how the opening couple of games go before getting into the market.

I’d expect him to be able to keep the serve going for a set or two but aren’t sure if he can keep throwing down bullets for the entire match. However he may relish the pressure of Sweden needing him to win this match. He used to be ranked a lot higher than his current position and may be able to use his experience if Schwank isn’t up for the fight.

As I haven’t really bothered with other systems I didn’t know the name but it seems he is a well known figure in the industry. ( Sorry Graham, I know who you are now!)
