What interested me is how to test strategies and systems while at the same time not lose so much money? Is there any software with which you can test the exchange betting strategy? (In play of course)
thanks

For many markets you can get a lot from playing with
http://www.betfairandsquare.com/

Unfortunately, no I was able to get it installed no problem, even running on a virtual machine, no less.
If you want to PM me, I may be able to make arrangements to take a further look at this for you?

Thanks, Silk, I'll get my notes together, and probably try a vanilla install, SQL, .Net and Betfair&square, and see what comes out. (I also use Virtual machines, under VM Fusion on a Mac, so there's an angle there I should follow up too). If I still have an issue I'll PM you, Tx.
One thing, I was initially interested in BF&S because I liked the look of the charting – can you comment on the charts at all?

BFExplorer is another trading platform (with a nifty bot SDK for Visual Studio) that provides a practice mode. You can use a market selection feature to pick markets depending on your criterias and execute a bot on those markets. Cool. (One thing I noticed though is that the queue of money is buggy. If you place a bet it can get matched even though there is lots of money ahead of yours. So for instance pregame you can setup a tick offset bot cycle that will get plenty of back/lays that shows a profit even though in reality you wouldnt get matched)
Still a lot of cool automation features in this one.

Downside its €30/month after the inital trial period.

No, unfortunately, I can't comment on the charting, as I don't use charts much, though it is possibly an angle I am missing in my oveall trading.
