Its maybe 5 months, probably more, since I tried to trade the pre race markets. I was getting better at it. Just using 50 quid stakes I could get 2 or 3 quid a race. Still had to sharpen up on getting out of the bad ones but losses were under control.
Tonight I was getting the desktop sorted for the skype sessions and was installing the trading software. I thought I'd have a quick go on the races at Wolverhampton. Trading apps have come a long way in 5 months. There's more information available than when I used BTPro. Full market depth. The moving graphs at the side of the ladder etc.
Also I have had 5 more months at watching how markets move. I wouldnt have expected that knowing the tennis markets much better would help me read a pre race market but it did seem to. Maybe my brain has developed as a trader? Whatever the reasons I was able to read the 3 races that I traded quite well. Only made about 12 quid from the 3 races with 50 stakes but I felt like I could have done that all day long.
Not a huge sample ofcourse but its renewed my interest in learning these markets.
So if anyone else hasn't tried to trade these markets for a while I would suggest you have another go using one of the newer trading apps. They really do make a difference.
